blog posting #2-Troy Farnsworth

http://www.newstarget.com/z003916.html

I was excited to find this particular article because it involves two of the subjects that I will be teaching (Health and Drivers Ed.). This article is about the dangers of driving under the influence of prescription drugs. The example the article used involves the new statin drugs or "miracle pills" for high cholesterol. These drugs have a tendency to cloud the brain and impair the nervous system. Not what you want to have happen when you are behind the wheel.

rss feed 1

I am a health education major and decided to find some sites on health. The RSS feeds that I posted will be helpful to me in my major and when I begin teaching. I will be able to find articles pertaining to what my classes are studying. The URL site I posted was http://www.sexualeducation.it/rss.xml. I am currently in a human sexuality class and will have to one day teach sexual education to my students. This site will be helpful for me to find ways and techniques to teach my students.

Dangerous shampoo article reflection #1

My name is Troy Farnsworth and I am a School Health Major. I'm completely clueless when it comes to computers so if this posting goes somewhere it's not supposed to, please disregard it and I apologize. The RSS feed I selected had numerous articles that were current and involved topics you don't always hear in the news such as the article I posted in the comments section of the group blog (I hope I'm still speaking English because I no longer know what I'm saying!). The feed is http://www.healthfactor.info/rss.xml Although I managed to confuse myself 15 times while I was trying to find all the information, I found the relevence of using blogs because of the amount of information that was grouped together on the topic of health. The article on the dangers of shampoo was relevant to me because my wife is pregnant and I checked to see if the shampoo she currently uses contains any of the chemicals that the article claims is dangerous to our baby.

Hope this all makes sense
